publive-imageThird quarter of IRS 2010 results has been pretty exciting for Hindi dailies in the capital where all top newspapers have gained readers except Punjab Kesri.

At No.1 is Hindi daily 'Navbharat Times'. The paper has registered growth by adding 71,000 readers in the current quarter. In Q2 of IRS 2010 also the Hindi daily added 34,000 readers. Navbharat Times has AIR of 17.95 lakh as compared to 17.24 lakh in Q2. In Q3 of IRS 2010 the paper has registered growth of 4.1%.

Hindi daily 'Hindustan' has also seen marginal increase in its readership in the current quarter. The Hindi daily from HT media has added 3,000 readers. The paper has AIR of 11.63 lakh and has registered marginal growth of 0.3%. The paper had AIR of 11.60 lakh in Q2. In Q2 Hindustan saw decline of 2% in its AIR. Hindustan stands firm at No.2 position.

publive-image'Dainik Jagran', nation's most read daily has added 42,000 readers and has jumped up one position to acquire 3rd spot in the capital. The paper has AIR of 7.04 lakh in current quarter as compared to 6.62 lakh in Q2.  In Q2 of IRS 2010 also Jagran gained 11,000 readers. The paper has seen growth of 6.3% in its readership number in current quarter.

'Punjab Kesri' has been pushed one step back by Dainik Jagran. The paper is at No.4 position and has lost readers in the current quarter too. The Hindi daily has lost 53,000 readers in the current quarter. In Q2 also paper lost 5,000 readers.  Punjab Kesri has AIR of 6.92 in Q3 of IRS 2010 as compared to 7.45 in Q2. The paper has seen decline of 7.7% in its readership in the current quarter.

'Amar Ujala' is at No.5 though it has lost 4,000 readers in the current quarter. The paper has AIR of 91,000 as compared to 95,000 in Q2 of IRS 2010. The paper has seen decline of 4.2% in this quarter.
