publive-imageElated and surprised with the performance of the show on peoplemeter, Karan Thapar says, "I am delighted although perplexed that The Last Word has done so well in its first two episodes. The first episode was the second highest viewed programme across all English language channels on Friday night and the second episode was the highest viewed programme across all English language channels on its Saturday repeat. This is, no doubt, thrilling and gratifying but I can't understand how a brand new programme is doing so well. It's barely known of and yet it's very highly watched. I can't help feel there is a contradiction there although, let me end by saying, I am very happy that it seems to have struck such a favourable chord with the audience."

The first two episodes of the show had the highly reputed guests like Shobhna Bhartia, Vinod Mehta, Sanjay Baru, Mark Tully etc. with high standards of discussion on various media coverage.
