The FM station reaches out to Jawans at Wagah border; gives Diwali Bakshish to its listners.

publive-imageThis Diwali, RED FM, the station for expression, plans to celebrate the festival of lights in a unique manner. The station is giving a chance to its listeners' to win exciting and glamorous gifts as the traditional 'Diwali Bakshish'. RED FM, in its true Bajaate Raho! attitude is looking forward to entertain its listeners across 12 stations from 2nd November to 6th November 2010.

Besides, RED FM Pune will make this Diwali an outstanding one for the Jawans at the Wagah border through a special initiative called Sandese Aate Hain. This one of its kind initiative by RED FM, the station for expression, is giving its listeners a chance to send special Diwali messages for the Jawans. Pune-ites can either call in or SMS their names and messages to 58585. RED FM Pune's very own RJ Mandee will convey special “sandese” (messages) to the country's Jawans.

Commenting on Diwali Bakshish, Nisha Narayanan, Sr. VP Projects & Programming RED FM said, “Diwali is celebrated wholeheartedly across India. It is that time of the year when people catch up with the little joys of life that they keep overlooking for most part of the year. Keeping this in mind, we at RED FM have planned 'Diwali Bakshish' which will captivate and engage our enthusiastic listeners across ages.”

'Diwali Bakshish' will be aired across stations in Ahmedabad, Baroda, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Indore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pune and Mumbai.

On Sandese Aate Hain, Nisha adds, “Diwali being the widely celebrated festival across India denotes the feeling of 'togetherness'. It's a time for families and friends, for celebration and joy. Therefore, this Diwali we intend to make the Jawans feel loved and thank them for the sacrifices they have made, and continue to make, in safeguarding the borders of our country while staying away from their loved ones.”
