Pawan Agarwal, Director, DB Corp Awarded Outstanding Entrepreneur

Pawan Agarwal, Director DB Corp Ltd was honoured by Enterprise Asia, a non-government organisation as one of the 'OUTSTANDING ENTREPRENEURS of Asia-Pacific-2010 in a ceremony held at   Hyatt Regency; New Delhi  on 20^th November 2010.  The award was given by Prof. Bibek Debroy, an Economist, currently a professor at 'Centre for Policy Research and International Management Institute' Delhi.

Outstanding Entrepreneurship award recognises individuals who have demonstrated entrepreneurship attributes that makes them a role model for emerging entrepreneurs, including the tenacity and perseverance to continue innovating and making a difference under adverse situations and environments. This year the winners were selected by the eminent panel of juries comprising of Hon. Justice R C lahoti, Dr Abhishekh Singhvi, Prof Bibek Debroy and S Balasubramanian.

The award recognises the role played by Pawan Agarwal in the growth and expansion of Dainik Bhaskar group to take on the leadership position as India's largest newspaper group and the entrepreneurial approach in developing MYFN, FM radio network.

Pawan Agarwal says “I am honoured to receive Outstanding Entrepreneur Asia pacific 2010 award,  credit for it goes to the culture of  questioning status co, challenging the existing norms and trends,  experimentation and innovation which is ingrained within the Dainik Bhaskar group. It has allowed me the space and the width to work with an entrepreneurial approach across functions- one of the best example is the 17 station –FM radio network under the name MYFM”
