TAM Midweek Data Out; Puts KBC Behind Bigg Boss

According to TAM midweek data, opening day of KBC-4 garners the TVR less than last two seasons of Bigg Boss.

The reality war started this month is getting intense and with the launch of Kaun Banega Crorepati on the same time band as Bigg Boss, everyone is eying on their comparisons. TAM midweek data is out and its peoplemeter has different picture than what aMap provided about opening day's ratings of Kaun Banega Crorepati season 4. The TAM data completely contradicts the rating provided by overnight rating agency aMap which said that KBC-4 has garnered the maximum ratings breaking all the previous records on its meters on opening day.

According to TAM midweek data for week 42 in 3 HSM metros, Kaun Banega Crorepati season 4 has garnered the TVR of 5.3 which is less than Bigg Boss season 4 hosted by Salman Khan which garnered the TVR 6 and Bigg Boss season 3 hosted by Amitabh Bachchan which garnered the TVR of 5.4 on their corresponding opening days. Launched on Big B's birthday, KBC-4 managed the peak rating of 8.2 which is again less than the Bigg Boss peak rating on its launch day. Refer to the graph below:
