Jury Decides Winners Of India Pride Awards 2010

publive-imageDainik Bhaskar Group, in association with DNA, is all set to honour the PSUs in India with 'India Pride Awards 2010'. The award now in its 2nd year has established itself as the premier platform to recognize and salute the excellence in PSUs. The nine member jury panel of highly respected and knowledgeable professionals from PSUs and Media met on 3rd September, 2010 at Hyatt Regency in New Delhi to decide the award winners.

The winners of India Pride Awards 2010 will be announced at a glittering ceremony to be held on 13th September, 2010 at The Taj Palace, New Delhi where Union Finance Minister Dr. Pranab Mukherjee will grace the occasion.

Headed by jury chairman Narendra Jadhav, member of the Planning Commission, the jury panel had almost 5 hours of discussion while finalizing the names of award winners. The jury members involved in the judging process were L Shivkumar, Senior Vice President, ICRA; K U Rao, CEO, DNA; K Yatish Rajavath, Managing Editor, Dainik Bhaskar Group; Sanjeev Kotnala, Group Vice President, Dainik Bhaskar Group; Dr. U.D. Choubey, Former CMD, Gail and Director General of Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE); Sanjay Pugalia, Editor in Chief, CNBC Awaaz; Madan Bahal, Director, Adfactors and Sarthak Behuria, Ex-CMD, Indian Oil and Advisor, Petronet LNG. The overall judging process was observed by Jaideep Dhagat, Sr. GM and Business Head, National Government Vertical, Dainik Bhaskar Group.

Last year India Pride Awards were only for central PSUs, where as this year state PSUs also have been included. The entries were invited from both central and state PSUs from 20th July to 28th August, 2010. This year, a total of 50 central and 24 state PSUs have participated into India Pride Awards. The participants include major PSUs like Steel Authority of India, BHEL, Gas Authority of India, ONGC, SBI, Indian Oil, Indraprastha Gas and DMRC.

ICRA, one of the finest credit rating agencies, has evaluated the application and judging process under the specified judgment criteria which includes business results of the company, leadership policy and strategy, customer value management, operations management, human resource developments and employee contribution, new product development and quality management, environment management, systems and studies, corporate social responsibility, corporate image and corporate governance.
