The Times of India remains undisputed No.1; Hindustan Times grows sharply. Mumbai Mirror and DNA lose readers.

publive-imageIn Mumbai 'The Times of India' has further strengthened its No. 1 position by adding 27,000 readers. The AIR of nation's no.1 daily and Mumbai's undisputed king stands at 14, 78,000. The paper had AIR of 14, 51,000 in Q1 of IRS 2010.

TOI is followed by its own sister publication 'Mumbai Mirror'. The Tabloid has seen decline of 5.3% in Q2 of IRS 2010. The paper now has AIR of 7, 86,000. In Q1 of IRS 2010 Mirror had AIR of 8, 11,000.

At No. 3 is 'DNA' with 6, 05,000 readers. The paper has lost 5000 readers in Q2 of IRS 2010. In Q1 of IRS 2010 paper had AIR of 6, 10,000.

'Hindustan Times' stands firm at No. 4 spot with AIR of 5, 64,000. The paper has registered growth of 4.8%. In Q1 of IRS 2010 HT had AIR of 5, 38,000.

publive-image'Mid Day' has seen marginal decline in its readership. The paper has lost 3000 readers in Q2 IRS 2010. The paper stands at No. 5 position with AIR of 4, 14,000.

'The Economic Times' has registered growth 3.1% in its AIR. The paper has AIR of 1, 66,000 in Q2 of IRS 2010. in Q1 of IRS 2010 ET had AIR of 1,61,000.

'The Indian Express' has also seen its AIR increasing from 44,000 in Q1 of IRS 2010 to 49,000 in Q2 of IRS 2010.
